According to Google dictionary Podcast is “a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computeror a mobile device. typically available as a serise, new installment of which can be recived by subscribers automaticlly”.
Ok, let’s make it simple, podcasting is basically an audio blogging system. Recently we all are familiar with VLOG; VLOG is basically video blogging. So now the question is; what is Blogging? Don’t be afraid I will not give you another Google's definition rather than I will try to explain it in my way. Blogging is basically an informative website. That means if you have an interest in cocking you can write-up your experiences on your website so that people from around the world can read your experiences and get their idea. But the end of the day reading is kind of boring think so some smart brain thinks of it, if we record my experiences, people may fill interest to listen that rather than reading. So, they introduce audio blogging. By the way, "Blog" this term is the short form of Web-log. In 2004 Podcast officially starts its journey.
